Technical Manager of the Graduation Gala

The BAL (Graduation Gala) is an elegant annual evening organized for INSA students in Lyon. Around 2,000 students gather to enjoy a memorable night and dance until 4 a.m. The event offers a wide range of activities, with the highlights being two stages hosting around fifteen live performances. In our edition, we had Tsew The Kid performing live, and in previous years, the BAL has hosted Kungs and Brume.

The BAL is INSA's flagship event of the year, bringing together over 2,000 students on multiple stages.

What makes the BAL’s technical organization so unique? Almost no external contractors are involved! At INSA Lyon, a dedicated group called the Technical Section trains students to master sound and lighting for events. Within an overall budget of approximately €80,000, I was responsible for planning and organizing the full €20,000 “Sound & Light” production. This involved setting up 3,000 m² of space, including a 150 m² stage, and leading a team of 20 members.

I was responsible for the €20k Sound & Light budget, leading a team of 20 to set up 3,000 m² of space.
