WELDER – AI Movie Blender

When we were assigned to develop a website in React, my teammates and I immediately had the same idea: rebuild Netflix! We first created a complete movie and series recommendation platform inspired by Netflix, but something was missing... we wanted a unique hook.

Rebuilding a movie platform from scratch and searching for a highly innovative differentiator.

That’s when the idea came: why not combine our favorite movies and shows using artificial intelligence? We implemented a system that allows users to select two movies or series to merge. By leveraging the OpenAI API (Dall-E + ChatGPT), we generated a customized title, a poster, and a hilarious synopsis blending both universes, leading to combinations like 'King Kong and the Mystery of Tchoupi’s Toys'!
